Andalucía and the Flamenco Festival, February 2010

Andalucía excites New York in February 2010 starting the decade with its 10th Annual Flamenco Festival with stellar performers thrilling Manhattan audiences.

Further motivating New Yorkers, Andalucía Tourist Board marketing executives, together with hotel and rseort representatives visit New York to promote travel to Andalucia´s eight enticing provinces, each with its own unique personality and distinct flamenco styles: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Sevilla.

Andalucía is closer than ever. Delta Air Lines resumes nonstop service between New York’s John F. Kenney Airport (JFK) and Málaga’s Pablo Ruis Picasso Airport (AGP) on May 28, 2010. Iberia Airlines of Spain offers extensive nonstop service from New York, Chicago, Miami, Boston and (resuming March 29) Washington DC to Madrid with connections to cities in Andalucía. (

A milestone in Andalucía, the high-speed AVE (Alta Velocidad Española), futuristic bullet trains glide up to 215 mph between Madrid and Sevilla (via Córdoba) in 2-1/2 hours, and the Madrid-Málaga route takes even less time. (
